What are the results of the nucleolar ANA test?
What are the results of the nucleolar ANA test?
During that time, I experienced a drunken feeling, especially when walking, palpitations, random muscle spasms (especially in my legs), tremors/trembling, chest tightness, fatigue, all-over weakness, and all-over shakiness. I have since improved; however, the results of my ANA tests are now back and I am a bit overwhelmed.
Is it normal to have an ANA of 1 : 80?
Sign in to react. Are you sure you want to delete this reply? Hi Kay, an ANA of 1:80 is a low or borderline positive, and not too uncommon even in the general population. However, your rheumatologist’s explanation is puzzling, since a positive ANA is usually present in Sjogren’s, and your other symptoms could be explained by Sjogren’s as well.
Is it normal to have positive ANA panel?
My allergist ran ana panels twice and both came back positive with 1:1280. The rest of my bloodwork was normal and did not specify a specific autoimmune disease. I was referred to a rheumatologist.
What’s the difference between high Ana and low Ana?
For example, an ANA that is positive at a titer of 1:40 is a rather low amount of ANA, which is often found in patients with a variety of diseases, including fibromyalgia. On the other hand, an ANA with a titer of 1:1,280 is a high titer, one that’s often seen in lupus patients.

What is the normal range for Ana rest?
My ANA rest result is ANA of 1:80, positive. nuclear, and homogenous. I have ulcerative colitis since 2016, in remission for 3 years. I have joint pain in my ankles and hands. Now my kidneys are getting progressively worse. I had EGFR 87 a few years ago, now down to 35. I am waiting for next appointment with nephrologist to review results.
What is the normal range of Ana titer?
ANA titer is 1:64 positive homogeneous and speckled, CRP (C-reactive protein) 1.0 mg/L, and rheumatoid factor (RF) 15 IU/mL. First time I had ANA test 10 years ago and result was 1:160 speckled. Now 1:40 high homogeneous, suspected lupus, and waiting on rheumatologist referral.
Can a low positive ANA be due to AITD?
Low positive ANA can be due to AITD, so maybe the autoimmune process was brewing even 15 years back. Now at 48, I have odd symptoms like hair loss, hands itchy to the point of bleeding, swollen face 3 times in 2020, and finger joint pain. I tested ANA, and it is 1:80, homogenous. Investigating if it is systemic lupus erythematosus.
