It is not permanenent though. Driving in my car makes no difference, so I don’t think driving will cause a permanent change in your T. A couple of years ago I relatively frequently drive for 5-6 hours at the time. I did notice at the end of those drives that my tinnitus was temporarily worse. These days I drive less than an hour a day.

Unlike Bob, I don’t feel like doing any driving “helps” my tinnitus at all. The only thing is that in my car I listen to music on the stereo which somewhat helps. Since my Tinnitus isn’t affected by anything (except the Amitryptaline that the doctor gave me to make it better and made it worse) the car rides don’t cause my Tinnitus to get worse.
