Regardless, trying to emulate celebrities who show their rib cages is not a healthy thing. If you happen to naturally have a similar body type then perhaps seeing your ribs is not so bad…as long as you maintain a healthy weight, healthy diet and healthy amount of physical activity. Is it a red flag if your ribs are visible?

Visible ribs ‘at rest’ would be a bit of a red flag to pay attention to being underfat – but someone is not necessarily underweight if they have them. It really depends on how much they show also. Mine are “hint of ribs” visible, not “counting each rib” visible. When I can count them, I know I need to add a few pounds.
