The Brooklyn Lyceum is a multi-use space of historical architecture and raw Brooklyn beauty.
Originally opened in 1910 as an indoor bathing facility, the Lyceum is a producing arts venue and cultural center on the edge of Gowanus playing host to a range of theatre, music, dance, markets and community activities.

The Lyceum houses two 4000 sq foot raw event spaces with tall 25 ft ceilings of exposed beams, two large projector screens for film screenings, a batting cage, basketball hoop, substantial PA sound system and minimal theatrical lighting.

The Lyceum produces many in-house programs and events throughout the year, from weekly Jazz and Open Mic, to large-scale markets bringing thousands of people through our doors. We are committed to a range of art and performance, as well as keeping the gym spirit alive with our droppable batting cage, Zumba classes and hula hoop workouts. The Lyceum is also available for rental by the hour or weekly, and for Weddings & Parties. Find out more under Programming.
The Lyceum café is open to the public daily and serves exquisite Intelligentsia coffee and fresh house-baked goods.

The Brooklyn Lyceum presents programs and events of all varieties and media, including weekly jazz and open mic nights. Jazz sets are most Wednesdays at 8 and 9:30pm and some Saturdays at 9 and 10:30pm. All performances are a $10 cover.
