Their words:
The Tea Lounge has been serving Park Slope for 10 years. What started out as a small coffee and tea shop has quickly grown into a neighborhood hub.
Serving eco-friendly organic coffees and teas, Tea Lounge is a café, teashop, bar, music venue, and gallery. We are a place for students, families, and business to exist side-by-side on our couches. Our focus and goal is the Park Slope community as a whole, we aim to be your hang out. Our place is your place.
Our words:
Oh, but it's SO much more than that! This comfy den is decked out with persian rugs, miscellaneous couches and chairs, wifi access, mood lighting, alternative artwork, a full bar, and I won't even mention the ridiculously expansive selection of delectable teas and coffees! (Ok, I mentioned it). If you live in Park Slope or are passing through, I'd strongly recommend dropping by to relax for a spell, any time of day 8AM - 1AM. But what you may not immediately gather from the Tea Lounge's unassuming attitude and enticing atmosphere is that this place also happens to regularly present some of New York's finest musicians -- and for like 5 bucks (strongly suggested donation). The Tea Lounge is a choice spot for incredible innovators like Todd Sickafoose, Andrew D'Angelo, Tony Malaby, as well as a vast array of other up-and-coming local artists, like saxophonists Pete Robbins and Uri Gurvich. Tea Lounge has live music basically every night with sets at 9 and 10:30, but it's a good idea to check the schedule.
