Goodbye Blue Monday is a bizarre oasis in the middle of nowhere. When you walk in, it takes a while for your senses to adapt from the grey concrete outside, to the eclectic collection of “stuff” hanging from the walls. There is an open booking policy, which means bands of all kinds, shapes, and sizes can be heard from atop the elaborate stage. The bar serves PBR, jug wine, coffee, and an assortment of wraps, and the back yard is one of the coolest junk havens you’ll find in this city. Goodbye Blue Monday has live music virtually every night of the week with no cover (except a tip jar for the bands.) Some nights there are three or more bands, with sets starting at about 9:15 pm.
