Their words:
Cleopatra's Needle, named after the famed monument in New York's Central Park, is the world-renowned Upper West Side Jazz nightspot known for serving up food, drinks and hot live jazz to the New York jazz community.
Our words:
This quiet restaurant turns into a boisterous jazz club at night. Four nights a week, after the scheduled performances, the club holds jam sessions that attract jazz musicians and students from all over the city. The sessions go until the early morning hours, and have earned the club a reputation as one of the pinnacles of the straight ahead jazz scene in New York. There is always no cover charge, but there is a $10 minimum.
