Their Words: Sweet Rhythm's primary goals are based on three basic principles:great music, delicious food, excellent customer service. Every physical space has it's own "personality" or it's own "vibe". We at Sweet Rhythm are very conscious of creating an environment where people feel welcome. Ours is not a room where one is hustled in, relieved of their money and then hustled out. In fact we feel that the spirit of relaxation and enjoyment that each audience member brings into the space is as much an essential part of the ambience of Sweet Rhythm as the music.
Our Words: This solid restaurant and jazz club occupies the space once inhabited by Sweet Basil. Programming tends towards straight-ahead groups with both a vocalist set and late night jam session happening on Thursdays and groups from The New School appearing on Mondays. It's a comfortable, affordable and welcoming atmosphere to take in a night of jazz.
Music Every Night?: Performances generally happen Wed - Sun. There's also a comedy set at 7:30 on Saturdays.
