Their Words: "Enjoy live music every night!" at "nyc's best-equipped gaming center"
Our Words: Fat Cat is really a pool hall with jam sessions, a lot of traditional jazz, and some progressive jazz. The games are really fun - they have everything from pool to ping pong to shuffle board, chess, backgammon, and go - and the music is good, although sometimes people aren't paying close attention. Still, this fosters a more relaxed environment, letting seriously skilled musicians unleash. For $3, Fat Cat makes a fun late night hang after a show at 55 Bar or Smalls.
