Lenny Pickett has been playing the tenor saxophone professionally since before he could legally play the lotto. Since then he's commanded the Tower of Power horn section, toured with David Bowie, and appeared on more recordings than you can name. As a composer his music ranges from the funky to the free, and for this week's Search and Restore Radio Show, Lenny Pickett has assembled an amazing playlist representing his tastes, plus some unreleased recordings of his own, including an incredible dance piece for 4 saxophones (all played by himself). During the interview, Lenny also discusses the merits of dancing at a concert, and mentions his own enjoyment of dancing.
